Once in a while, a customer will send us a photo, showing us how they have used their Blossom & Brush window film. Each time one comes in, I delight in seeing these wonderful insights. It's amazing to see the huge array of wonderful windows and doors adorned with my creations, each one unique.
Over the past year or two we have notice one trend coming through, the pink front door. From the palest blush to bright rose pink, nude shades to the strongest bubblegum pink, we're seeing them all. I thought I'd share some of my favourites with you.
THE PALE PINKS
I've pulled together a few of the shades used on these beautiful doors, in no particular order:
Looking back, it’s been fascinating time. With all those weeks at home, the UK has gone DIY mad. In fact, there’s been a substantial increase in the time spent gardening and working on the house. Up by 147 per cent to 39 minutes a day, according to the ONS.
As a result, we’ve had a busy summer, creating some beautiful designs and speaking to customers everywhere from Australia and Canada to London and Leeds. It seems everyone has been considering how to make their homes a little more beautiful while gaining a bit more privacy. In fact, it’s been one of our busiest periods ever.
The most popular design has been folk, followed by woodland and flora. Fanlight door numbers have also taken off throughout the summer.
We’ve shared some of our favourite windows here. And we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who’s ordered over the last few months. It’s truly been a summer of windows and we’re excited about creating some more beautiful designs as we head into autumn.
Get in touch if you have any ideas or requests. We’d love to hear from you.
]]>Recently, I was approached by Apartment Therapy who asked if I would be interested in sharing my home for one of their House Tours. I jumped at the chance, and was so pleased with the results.
I spent a lovely morning chatting to photographer Viv Yapp, while she snapped every corner of my home. Here's a little preview, and you can see the full tour here.
Enjoy!

We are over the moon to announce that Blossom & Brush designer, Rhiannon Southwell, has painted a Gromit sculpture. He was on show in Bristol as part of the Gromit Unleashed 2 trail which ran until the 2nd of September 2018.
His name is Cupid, and he took Rhiannon 10 days to paint. He features the best selling Blossom & Brush Folk design in bright fuchsia & red. You can shop the original Folk window film here.
After the trail, all 67 sculptures were auctioned for Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital charity, and Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Charity, which support children in hospital all over the UK. For more information about Gromit Unleashed 2, visit www.grandappeal.org.uk
Cupid sold for £15,000 and the total raised at the auction was an astounding £1,321,500.

]]>Most Blossom & Brush window films are created for people’s homes. They adorn everything from bay windows and patio doors to cupboards and fan lights. But every now and again, we’re asked to create something bespoke for a shop, café or something else entirely. Our film now calms patients as they wait in a dentist’s reception located in a gorgeous Victorian villa in Bristol, greets hungry customers at an Australian café and gets mouths watering at a British chocolatier.
It’s always fun to work on a commission that’s a bit different – incorporating elements of the brand into the design. But nothing is better than when a brand you love asks for some work, which is exactly what happened recently when Jo Loves contacted me out of the blue.
Jo Loves is the latest venture of fragrance specialist and MBE, Jo Malone. She has a beautiful shop in London's Belgravia, which needed a new window display inspired by the fragrances within.
Having drawn inspiration from botanical plants, flora and fauna in nearly all my work, working on the brief was a dream. The ingredients they wanted to be brought to life were Lemons, Paperwhites & Petitgrain. I drew these to create a beautiful circular design, showing how the scents come to life and blend as they leave the bottle.
The window is now installed and looking fantastic. It’s perhaps my favourite commission yet. I love the simplicity of design, which becomes more detailed as you look closer. It suits the brand perfectly.
